Falling into place
A quick assessment of my current life. And I know this wasn’t how I had imagined it to be a few years back.
I knew I’d have more travels. And that I’d still be in touch with most of my friends, the ones who matter at least.
But some of my bigger surprises in life: After a series of jobs that are considered a good catch but never really liked, I ended up in Fashion. Something I truly enjoy. Even if it’s not something I was expecting I would do.
I also ended up with a wonderful boyfriend, who on paper is someone I would never even consider let alone date, but amazingly I’m just glad we ended up together.
I know they keep saying you’re supposed to think things so hard, that life will give it to you.
But you should also be open to letting life surprise you. Things eventually fall into place. If I had gotten what I thought I wanted back then, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
Sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck. :)
